Long line Surf Team

Long Line has a great team filled with knowledge and enthusiasm. We are a small team but we feel this makes it more personal for you as a customer and fellow surfer.

Previous Irish Junior Longboard Champion

Dan is the founder and owner of Long Line Surf and was previously Junior Irish Longboard Champion. Dan is personally sponsored by W.E surfboards. He is young but very knowledgeable in the sport and has been a surf coach for many years now as well as being a beach lifeguard on the North Coast for 3 years. He has gained a lot of knowledge of coaching through working for O’Neill Surf Academy in Cornwall and working with a number of schools as a surf coach which is part of the Cornish school sports curriculum. Dan enjoys travelling around the world and learning new styles of coaching and has even brought certain techniques from California and Mexico back and is using them here at Long Line. He is very friendly and will do anything which you need to do with surfing. No is not a word which Dan uses!

Gareth is the twin brother of Dan but they look nothing a like so you don’t have to worry about mixing them up! Gareth is a keen surfer and has been surfing since he was 13. Spent a lot of years with Dan doing the Junior Irish Surfing Competitions and is known for doing very long road trips down Europe in the search for waves. So if you are looking for a route through Europe, Gar is your man. He is friendly and a very upbeat guy so you will have lots of fun with him during your lesson. Gareth is also a Beach Lifeguard and has been for a number of years so you having nothing to worry about when it comes to your safety.

“The man that knows everything”

Brian is the father of the twins and has been taking the guys surfing since they were children. He knows a lot about the sport as well as everywhere you could possibly surf in Ireland, we know that because you can see the mileage on his car! Brian also has a very great depth of knowledge when it comes to the history of Limavady and the surrounding area and so if you want to know anything about anywhere then Brian is the man to go to.

Eunan Brown

" The young apprentice "

It is great to say that Eunan is joining the team for 2013 as our young apprentice/ Grom. He has been with us for year surfing and helping out with the kids camp. Very creative guy with tie dye t-shirts, photograpghy and playing the guitar. It's the kind of people we like at Long Line. When you come down this year make sure to say hello to our little Grommet!! (That means young surfer in trainning)
